The SDS/MSDS is a safety document that provides chemical information to the end user for specific handling characteristics of the product. SDS/MSDS is also used by first responders in the case of an incident to determine the appropriate measures to take in containing the situation. An SDS/MSDS is to accompany each load that is considered dangerous in nature under the guidelines as set out in the WHMIS guidelines.
